Peer Review Process
Al-Manshubāt: Journal of Integrated Islamic Scholarship applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the academic quality, objectivity, and integrity of every article published in the journal. In this process, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential in order to maintain impartiality and scholarly fairness.
Every manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening will be reviewed by at least two competent reviewers whose expertise is relevant to the topic of the manuscript. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, theoretical foundation, methodological accuracy, clarity of argument, validity of data, depth of analysis, quality of references, and contribution to the development of integrated Islamic scholarship.
The review process is conducted in a confidential, objective, and constructive manner. Reviewers are expected to provide critical comments and recommendations that help authors improve the academic quality of their manuscripts. The possible recommendations include: accepted, accepted with minor revisions, revised and resubmitted, or rejected.
Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and revise their manuscripts accordingly. The editorial board will evaluate the revised manuscript and determine whether it is suitable for publication. The final decision regarding publication rests with the editorial board, taking into consideration reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of revision, and the manuscript’s scholarly contribution.
