Publication Process

The publication process of Al-Manshubāt: Journal of Integrated Islamic Scholarship is designed to ensure academic quality, transparency, accountability, and ethical integrity. Every manuscript submitted to the journal must follow the author guidelines and use the official article template provided by the editorial board.

The publication process consists of several stages. First, authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Second, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to examine the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the article template, completeness of metadata, academic writing quality, and similarity level.

Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected during the initial screening stage. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements will proceed to the peer-review process. At this stage, the manuscript will be evaluated by reviewers who have expertise relevant to the topic of the manuscript.

After the review process is completed, the editorial board will make one of the following decisions: accepted, accepted with minor revisions, revised and resubmitted, or rejected. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments and editorial recommendations. Revised manuscripts will be re-evaluated by the editorial team and, when necessary, by reviewers.

Once the manuscript is accepted, it will proceed to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and final publication. Al-Manshubāt publishes articles regularly four times a year as part of its commitment to consistent scholarly dissemination.
